PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Karen is a Vice President and Financial Advisor in the Gainesville, Florida Merrill Lynch office. A Virginia native in 1983 she earned her BS degree from Longwood College in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Management. She moved to Florida in 1987 and began a successful Real Estate Career. Karen entered the financial services industry in 1992. She is Series 7, 31, 63, 65 and Life and Annuity licensed. In addition, she is a CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR SM designee, (CRPC®).

Karen assists clients in developing long-term financial plans. She helps clients look at their total financial life and establish objectives to balance these goals. Karen custom builds portfolios with clients to meet their risk tolerance, investing style, time horizon and goals. She stresses a disciplined approach to investing. Karen believes that knowledge is a key to investing and spends time educating her clients with regard to the various financial products and strategies. Karen does regular portfolio evaluations for her clients where she measures results against the objectives.

Financial planning is not a one time event. It is an ongoing process and changes in a financial strategy are often initiated when there is a shift in lifestyle or financial resources. Karen works with her clients to insure they are on track to pursue their goals during every phase of life.
