PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Having worked with successful individuals and families for over twenty years, I advocate a holistic planning approach as the most helpful in the long run. An effective investment strategy must be developed within the context of each family's overall financial goals and objectives. This means taking the time to coordinate the strategy with other professional advisors and to help keep clients on task. Simply said, my mission is to be a most trusted financial resource to my clients and their advisors for the long-term.

My practice is focused in three areas: families or individuals experiencing a significant transition in their life, such as a death, divorce, or retirement; multi-generational families with complex estate, trust and income tax issues; and families where women are the primary financial decision-makers.

I began my career in 1984 at one of the big eight accounting firms, ultimately becoming a director in the personal financial planning practice. In 2000 I opted to join the financial services industry so that I could help clients with implementation of their investment management. Following four years at a private bank, I joined Merrill Lynch in 2005.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and subsequently studied accounting at the University of Vermont. I am a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and received the designation of Personal Financial Specialist in 1995. I sit on the board of directors of The Boston Club, a women’s professional networking organization that promotes the advancement of women in business, and in particular on corporate boards. I hold two honorary board positions: PCI Media Impact, Inc. and Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
