PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

Adam Messinger began his career in 1979 as a buyer and later Divisional Vice President for Emporium-Capwell stores in San Francisco. Beginning in 1991 he changed industries to work as Director of Retail Industry Marketing for software pioneer, Metaphor; and later, as Vice President of Product Marketing for QRS Corporation. He returned to retailing (2000 to 2002) as Vice President of Merchandising for Bay Area retailer, earthsake.

In 2003 he joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in their Global Private Client Group.

He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

He is a Certified Investment Management Analyst designee. The designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst is earned by consultants who meet all of IMCA's criteria.

He has a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley (Phi Beta Kappa).
