PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

We work with clients that seek the sophistication necessary to make their investment lives simple. Our clients include affluent families, business owners, professional athletes, public company executives, corporations, foundations, & entrepreneurs who have sold their companies.

We assume the role of financial advisor and private wealth manager with our clients and work closely with their other professional advisors (attorneys, accountants, etc.) to create a comprehensive financial picture of their lives. Our goal is to assist our clients in wealth accumulation, wealth preservation, and wealth transfer by managing risk through a variety of investment strategies. The process includes asset allocation, portfolio management, liability management, tax minimization, and asset protection. We also assist our clients with their cash management needs, concentrated stock positions, and hedging strategies through alternative investments and customized liquidity contracts. Ultimately we seek to provide peace of mind through our disciplined wealth management process.

Matthew D. Coiner joined the Temecula office of Merrill Lynch in 1999. He is an Assistant Vice-President and Certified Financial Manager. Matthew graduated from CSU San Bernardino with a BA in finance and is a Certified Financial Manager. He is active in youth charities and lives in Hemet with his wife and two children.

Trevor B. Twitchell is a Certified Financial Manager and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor. Trevor joined the Team shortly after graduating from Brigham Young University in 2002 where he received his degrees in International Politics/International Economy, and Finance. Through is formal education and having lived abroad for several years Trevor has in-depth knowledge of the global nature of investments. An Orange County native, Trevor now enjoys serving the communities in the Temecula Valley and Orange County areas through his affiliations with Church and youth groups. He lives in Temecula with his beautiful wife and four children.

Oralia Cortez is an experienced client associate with over ten years in the financial services industry. As an integral part of the team, Oralia provides personal banking services to our clients as well as organizational and administrative infrastructure to the team. For many day to day issues, Oralia will be the primary contact.
