John joined the La Jolla, California office of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2013. After completing his BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Connecticut, he considered attending Medical School, before ultimately moving across the country to pursue the career he was most passionate about: personal wealth management. John has been able to successfully grow his practice by remaining true to values instilled in him by his grandparents since a young age - "Work hard" and "Be a good person."
John’s approach to wealth management is both collaborative and consultative. His passion as an advisor is to educate while developing deep and meaningful relationships with clients. John believes that by educating clients they will be empowered to not only implement the best financial decisions available today, but remain committed to those strategies over the long-term. By acknowledging the reality of peoples’ emotional attachment to money, we are able to proactively identify and steer clear of the potential pitfalls it can create. John takes immense pride in delivering exceptional service, communication, and accessibility to his clients. He gains great satisfaction in helping people pursue and accomplish what is most important to them – on both a personal and financial level.
In addition to the time spent with family and clients, John makes time to be part of his community. Having lost his father to cancer, he has become a passionate contributor of multiple fundraising efforts in Southern California. He is also an enthusiastic participant of environmental cleanup efforts in the San Diego area. In his free time, John enjoys cooking, reading, travelling and staying active: skiing, weightlifting, beach volleyball, and yoga.
