Alexandra is celebrating 20 years in the financial industry and what continues to bring her professional fulfillment and personal joy – serving a growing and largely referred clientele in California and nine other states.
Proud to be a caring and considerate advisor, Alexandra has attracted generations of families led by active and retired individuals. Many are college professors, physicians, real estate professionals, successful business owners, and widowed and divorced women. While diverse in their backgrounds and paths to her door, these clients stand to benefit from Alexandra’s thoughtful, planning-based approach – an ongoing process that accounts for their situations, ambitions and personal preferences.
“I am inspired by clients and the results of proven strategies,” Alexandra says. “Meeting and educating both spouses or partners at every opportunity, I provide simple and concise rationales, without fancy jargon. Clients deserve to understand their strategies, market volatility and how I can help them mitigate tax consequences, or just follow a sensible saving-and-spending strategy. Perhaps most important, I need to appreciate a client’s vision of the future and what they define as financial success.”
To learn what makes each client unique, Alexandra asks questions, listens carefully and follows-up over the course of the relationship. She recognizes that planning is not a one-time event – and that as clients’ lives evolve, a fresh look at their strategy or just an adjustment may be required.
She often asks, “What are your passions? What lifestyle do you want in retirement? What is the single biggest obstacle you have in achieving financial independence? Who are you responsible for? What are your expectations for an advisor? What role would you like me to play?”
With retirement a #1 priority for most clients, Alexandra takes a long-term view of investments – using direction from the firm’s Chief Investment Office and recommendations from the firm’s research analysts to build portfolios diversified across asset classes, sectors and borders. Critical to Alexandra and to clients are tax minimization strategies and other techniques designed to enhance overall returns.
Given her banking background, Alexandra focuses closely on both sides of clients’ balance sheets – assets and liabilities. In addition to helping clients consolidate debt and use it wisely, she offers access to specialists at Bank of America for residential and securities-based lending, as well as practice-management solutions (for physicians).
Alexandra joined Merrill in 2015 after 13 years spent at Wells Fargo. She is a Senior Portfolio Advisor who can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.
A lover of the great outdoors who lives near the Temecula wine country, Alexandra relishes the chance to run, hike, fish and camp with family and friends. She is also a proud mom, a longtime participant with the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio, a member of the Temecula Valley Women’s Club, and a supporter of female growth and opportunity. Alexandra grew up in Southern California and graduated from UC - San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
