Michael H. Reid, CFA, CFP - Senior Vice President - Wealth Management Advisor
Michael provides wealth management and financial strategies to some of the firm's most affluent clients. He has over thirty years of wealth management experience and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1992.
After a thorough review of client objectives and risk tolerance, his group tailors a portfolio designed to meet the risk/return needs of the investor while considering the investment time horizon, tax consequences, liquidity needs, any legal considerations and other unique circumstances. His team's philosophy emphasizes risk reduction through a long-term approach using asset allocation strategies.
Michael Reid obtained his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of the Pacific. He holds an MBA from Sacramento State University, and a Master of Science in Finance from the Kelley Business School at Indiana University. He has participated in executive education programs at Wharton.
He completed a three year curriculum in investment analysis and portfolio management and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification from the CFP Board of Standards, and has completed the Chartered Financial Consultant credential from The American College. Michael has both the Series 7 and Series 66 FINRA registrations.
Mike is an active member in the Security Analysts of San Francisco, The CFA Institute, and the Financial Planning Association.
He lives with his wife and three children in Marin, north of San Francisco. He enjoys playing classical and jazz piano, tennis, and snow skiing.
Michelle Gipson - Registered Senior Client Associate
Michelle joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1986 and brings over thirty years of experience in customer service and operations. She received her B.S. degree from Colorado State University and has held her Series 7 and 63 FINRA registrations since 1991. Michelle and her husband Raymond have two children in college, Andrew and Jessica.
Charles Johnson - Registered Senior Client Associate
Charles received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Eduducation from Newman College in Tennesse and studied Musicology at the graduate level at the University of Iowa. In 1988 he worked for the US Army in Munich, Germany, where he stayed until 1995. He joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1995 and has over thirty years of customer service and operations support. He also attended SF State, where he earned a Master of Arts in German in 2000. Charles holds the Series 7, 63, 66, and SIE FINRA registrations. His hobbies include traveling, and attending and listening to opera.
I follow the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.
