Born in the Middle East, Sharam grew up dividing his time in India, France, and Canada. He welcomes a diverse clientele, appreciating the vibrancy of each client’s story. His approach is consultative and informed by the distinctive interests of each client or family. Sharam also integrates the insights of locally based specialists at Merrill, maintaining steady momentum in resolving client needs and discerning next steps.

Prior to joining Merrill, Sharam spent more than four years as a Financial Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. He began his advisory career in 2017 with Morgan Stanley. Earlier, Sharam spent 11 years as the founder and general manager of a company that designed, assembled, and marketed industrial thermal systems to a variety of industries, providing him with a sound perspective on the demands and decision points that entrepreneurs encounter.

Sharam earned his M.B.A. from Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, where he graduated with Academic Distinction.

In his free time, Sharam serves on several non-profit boards. He also enjoys sailing, hiking, and exploring the Bay Area.  He and his wife reside in the Peninsula with their two sons.

I learned after 10 years of  starting and running a business in a completely different industry that my professional love (i.e. my purpose) lies in financial markets, helping people, and working with a small group of committed families. My only regret is not starting many years earlier.
