Peter holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor CRPC designation.
He began his career in financial services in 1985 and joined Merrill Lynch in 2012. His focus is on developing strategies and recommendations for high-net-worth individuals, their families and their businesses. His top priority is helping them get their financial house in order, so that they can meet their short- and long-term financial goals.
Peter’s approach to wealth management is consultative, objective and committed to excellence. “It usually begins with a simple conversation, where my job is to ask relevant questions and do most of the listening,” Peter explains. He chose Merrill Lynch “because of its history of leadership, extensive resources and industry reputation.” With today’s uncertainties, he believes that “clients take great comfort knowing that they are working with a well-established firm which takes long-term view towards client relationships.”
As part of the Wealth Management Group in Silicon Valley, Peter takes his responsibilities seriously. He views himself as “a portal to some of the best money-managers in the world.” In addition, Peter also sees himself “as a liaison to an impressive group of in-house experts and outside consultants who understand the complex and ever-changing client concerns, including the need for increased income, lowering tax burdens, and growing one’s assets.”
Peter grew up on a cattle ranch in Northern California near Silicon Valley, where he developed a strong work ethic and affinity for the great outdoors. He has served as a CFO for a high technology company and as a Managing Member of a venture capital fund-of-funds.
He comes from a philanthropic and education-oriented family. The heart of Henry Coe State Park was donated in memory of his great grandfather. (He has served as the Vice President of the Pine Ridge Association at Henry W. Coe State Park Board.) Mr. Verbica also has served as a member, Trustee, VP and Finance Chair on various non-profit boards and service organizations, including local Rotary clubs, museums and schools.
He is a Paul Harris Fellow at Rotary and served as Chair of the Military Care Committee, which has provided hundreds of care packages to active U.S. service members, as well as support for organizations which help their families.
Peter enjoys supporting his alma maters as a graduate of Bellarmine College Preparatory, Santa Clara University, Santa Clara University School of Law and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Peter has taught "Principles of Investments" numerous semesters at San Jose State University in the Economics Department.

*Peace of mind is an aspirational state of mind that clients hope to achieve. There are no guaranteed results following completion of the Goals-Based Wealth Management process because markets can fluctuate and investments can lose value. Advisors work with clients to help them understand how the goals based wealth management process can help to address their concerns, financial situation and priorities.
Helping you reach your goals starts with getting to know you personally. Through understanding what matters most to you, I can help you create a financial strategy that reflects your personality.
