I believe it’s important for people to be able to talk frankly with their advisor about their goals and financial concerns. I strive to make our conversations stress free, as if two friends were catching up with each other. What you share with me is perhaps one of the most important aspects in helping you shape your financial strategy.

One of my first goals is to help you organize and take stock of the financial assets you may own, including 401(k)s, IRA rollovers, social security, brokerage accounts, educational funding accounts and insurance policies. With that knowledge, I can crunch some numbers to help you understand and quantify where you are currently relative to what’s important to you. With this as a baseline we can work together to structure your financial approach for your future.

Recent events and an uncertain economic climate may feel unsettling, however these are considerations that your financial strategy is designed to anticipate. It is also one of the reasons I believe in helping you define and prioritize multiple financial goals. Several, such as educational funding, income strategies for retirement, building business liquidity and sustaining charitable giving, may be high priority for you. Others, such as financing the home of your dreams or growing the endowment of a not-for-profit organization, may be more ambitious. My objective is to assist you in pursuing multiple goals simultaneously, along with the flexibility to help navigate changes that may occur in your family and career, as well as in the economy and financial markets.

*You have choices for what to do with your 401(k) or other type of plan-sponsored accounts. Depending on your financial circumstances, needs and goals, you may choose to rollover to an IRA or convert to a Roth IRA, rollover a 401(k) from a prior employer to a 401(k) at your new employer, take a distribution, or leave the account where it is. Each choice may offer different investment options and services, fees and expenses, withdrawal options, required minimum distributions, tax treatment, and provide different protection from creditors and legal judgments. These are complex choices and should be considered with care.

I believe there are few things in life that couldn’t be made better by taking the attitude that “we’re all in this together.”

My life experience as a combat veteran, single mom and scholarship recipient has helped me believe passionately in using my position as a financial advisor to help people and non-profits in my community. My family and I have received the support of many different people and organizations, strengthening my commitment to serve others.

When I speak or meet digitally with clients, I am often asked whether they have done enough to fund their goals. If given the opportunity to work with your financial information, I can perform data analysis and use proprietary modeling to help respond to you in a straightforward manner. I can also explain how a financial approach that is individualized for your lifestyle can assist you with the discipline to help you pursue your goals.

The U.S. Army was my life for nearly 13 years including multiple tours of duty in active combat zones. I held various positions in security and operations including military police, linguistics and communication systems operations. Before retiring from the Army, I was a Contracting Officer Representative in U.S. Army Intelligence based in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

When my military service was complete I pursued criminal justice studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude with an Associate’s degree from Manchester Community College. I went on to study at Columbia University as a Moody’s Scholar, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in political science. Throughout college I volunteered for several organizations focused on alleviating poverty and improving literacy and was a consultant to Columbia University Studies for Student Veterans.

I joined Merrill in 2019 from Morgan Stanley along with my colleague and mentor who I can consult when skillful experience may be needed for a client. I hold FINRA series 7, and series 66 registrations. Outside of the office, I spend time hiking and travelling.

Where do we begin? It starts with you.

At Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, your financial advisor focuses on the things you care about most- family, goals and priorities - even as they change over the years.

Understanding Your Life

What’s important in your life? Have you been able to focus on your passions, the people and the values you hold dear? In my experience, having a financial approach for your future can help you do just that.

Drawing on my multiple tours of combat duty in the U.S. Army, I’ve learned that when something needs to get done, it can help when everyone pulls together to focus on a common objective. Pursuing your financial goals can benefit from a similar disciplined approach. I believe each of us has specific skills and respective roles that we can excel at and enjoy doing. For you, it may be your career, running your business, overseeing an endowment, or nurturing your family. For me, it’s helping you simplify and manage your financial life with purpose.

A personalized financial strategy can be the first step in an incremental process of helping you pursue your goals. I believe that breaking down your goals into a series of intermediate steps that can be easier for you to follow and including checkpoints along the way, can assist you in staying the course. My commitment to you and your goals can last your lifetime and beyond.

In the military I was trained to anticipate what could happen and to plan for it. Regardless of the challenge, my commitment was to lead with integrity and concentrate on executing the things you can control. That means I worked as hard as I could each and every day to do the right thing, even when no one is looking. I believe in bringing that same dedication to clients.

I am committed to keeping the lines of communication open with you and striving to learn in real time, what is taking place in your life that may need attention. I can offer encouragement and support to help you follow your strategy even when the climate around you makes it difficult to do so. It’s the cumulative effect of these efforts and the interactions we have together that can help make pursuing your goals possible.

I begin every relationship with a conversation, helping you identify and prioritize which goals matter most to you. Whether it's transferring wealth to the next generation, customizing your financial approach to help you pursue your passions, or providing advice and guidance to help you stay informed, I start by listening to learn more about you and your family.

Drawing upon research in the field of behavioral finance, Merrill developed the Investment Personality Assessment to help me get to know you better as an investor and help you refine your investing preferences. Together, I can help customize your investment approach. Using an understanding of your priorities and investment personality as a foundation, I help you access the full breadth of resources from Bank of America’s banking products and services and Merrill’s investment insights to address all aspects of your financial life.

My process is designed to help deliver a customized, consistent experience to assist clients not only in wealth accumulation and preservation, but in areas that go beyond investments. Your approach to investing

Drawing upon research in the field of behavioral finance, Merrill developed the Investment Personality Assessment to help us get to know you better as an investor and potentially help you refine your own investing preferences. By gaining a deeper understanding of how you think and feel about investing through this assessment, we can customize the financial approach we develop together to help you pursue what matters most to you. Our Investment Personality Assessment is one of the ways to help us get to know you - to understand your goals and priorities. These questions will give you a sense of the full assessment and help us provide you with additional insights and resources.
