At The D’Allaird Group, we deliver our knowledge and care in ways many clients had never expected. Given our ability to create highly personal and rewarding relationships with clients, we have established ourselves as an advisory team that caters to the complex financial affairs and busy lives of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families.


On a given day, our clients face a myriad of decisions about managing concentrated equity positions, running or selling their enterprises, planning for retirement, transferring wealth, minimizing tax consequences, providing for employees with defined and non-qualified plans, or supporting a worthy cause.  Clients deserve our care and consideration. We encourage clients to make us their “first call” for any financially related issue.

Who do we serve? A growing circle of successful men and women residing in more than 25 states. They include owners of private businesses and entrepreneurs (and their retirement plans), corporate executives in the pharmaceutical, financial and technology sectors, engineers, physicians, attorneys and generations of their families

What do we believe? That the value of a financial advisory team is best measured by the real-world goals that clients achieve and the wealth management experience they enjoy along the way. For this reason, we remain cognizant of the attention we provide, as well as the acumen. Results and relationships matter to us – and to the clients we serve.

At The D’Allaird Group, we work hand-in-hand with a high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clientele whose efforts and accomplishments have brought them success and opportunity. With an intimate understanding of how clients view their wealth and the world, we are well positioned to help these accomplished individuals, accomplish more.

These self-made, financially astute individuals are diverse in their talents and find themselves at different stages of the wealth continuum. Ideally, we can work closely with clients from a time of building wealth and their families, to planning for college, to purchasing second homes, to exiting a corporate or private business, to retiring comfortably and developing a legacy strategy.

Referred to us by their colleagues, friends and families, our clientele now spans more than 25 states. Many are business owners who are running their enterprise or planning an exit strategy, as well as corporate executives in the financial, pharmaceutical, technology fields, engineers, physicians, and three and four generations of their extended families.
With our team members’ ages aligning nicely with those of clients, we’ve cultivated enduring relationships in which mutual interests and experiences make conversations comfortable, rather than a formality. Our ages also help ensure the continuity of thought and awareness that the “next generation” of clients’ families can find beneficial.

As we unveil who we are, clients feel comfortable doing the same. Often, they tell us what they’ve never shared with anyone – a troubling business matter, a health concern, or a new issue relating to a possible beneficiary. Extending a helping hand to both spouses and entire families is second nature to us. By listening and learning, we can deliver solutions that allow clients to focus instead on the people and passions in their lives.

Given our focus on intergenerational planning, we often spend significant effort coordinating with clients’ CPAs and attorneys on tax-minimization and estate planning strategies. In addition, we call upon our firm’s trust specialists when helpful.

Planning Is Everything

At The D’Allaird Group, the core of our offering is a disciplined, planning-based approach we’ve honed for years. Its purpose? To help clients explore and prioritize their most cherished goals, for themselves and the people they love. As a team, we examine the broad canvas of clients’ financial lives with a perspective on wealth planning meant to provide enduring benefits.

Our intent is to help clients thoughtfully consider the many aspects of their lifestyles and livelihoods before expressing their objectives. To do so, we ask questions – some expected, some not. “What have you wanted to do that you haven’t done yet? What do you want this money to do when you’re not here? Who are you responsible for? Why have you come to us? And what role would you like us to play?”

By revisiting topics of discussion over the course of each client relationship, we can adjust their financial strategy so that decisions move in sync with a client’s needs and outside factors. To help ensure that they’re better equipped to attain meaningful financial goals, we make it our business to keep clients informed and on track. Our ultimate goal is to create a boutique-like experience in which frequent discussions can help clients avoid hurried and emotional decisions.

At all times, we work to appreciate what’s on a client’s mind and in their heart. Whether they’re looking to exercise stock options in a responsible manner, sell their business, transfer assets to children, or support a worthy cause, we strive to help clients thoughtfully consider multiple aspects of their lives and livelihoods before expressing their objectives.

Beyond each client, we extend our focus to “the next generation.” Talking to clients’ adult children who are buying their first home, for example, we try to encourage wise financial habits. We also host family meetings so that each parent’s intentions can be explained and discussed.

When it comes to investments, experience tells us that clients should own individual stocks and bonds. Utilizing Merrill portfolios and measuring them against external managers and indexes, we are highly analytical in our approach. As active managers, we select each holding in clients’ portfolios and can, therefore, explain what they own and why. To minimize risk and optimize opportunity, we speak frequently to our firm’s global and sector analysts. We also focus on tax efficiencies throughout the year (not just at tax time).

Additionally, we look to help optimize both sides of clients’ balance sheets – assets and liabilities – and regularly help them access residential, securities-based and commercial lending solutions from Bank of America, N.A. We also talk to clients about Social Security scenarios and the rising costs of health care, as well as tax minimization and estate planning strategies.

In walking clients through our planning-based approach, we remind them that part of our job is helping them leave memories, not just money – finding joy along the way without compromising their long-term financial goals. In measuring our success, we examine how well we streamline clients’ financial to-do lists while introducing and accelerating the opportunities of wealth.

At The D’Allaird Group, our ambition – our oath, in fact – is to provide concierge-level service in ways that each client finds meaningful, with uncompromised attention and reliable responsiveness. Anything less is less than professional and certainly less than our clients deserve.

Led by our founder, Michael D’Allaird, who worked as a concierge at a prominent Ritz-Carlton hotel before launching his wealth management career, we have cultivated a service mentality in which clients are treated like esteemed guests.

Having earned a reputation for providing white-glove attention to three and four generations of families, we appreciate clients who place their trust in our discretion and ability to offer helpful guidance. In each instance, we do (and say) what we believe is in a client’s best interest, even if straightforward suggestions may be difficult for them to hear.

Operating on multiple cylinders to address clients’ specialized financial needs, our mission is to do more for each of them. In fact, we take careful measure of our own performance in the same way we evaluate each client’s financial strength: “Are we doing everything possible to help clients achieve the financial and life goals they’ve set for themselves? Are we fulfilling the responsibility we believe we have to clients and their families?” These questions remind us to focus on more than numbers. We are here to enhance and preserve the quality of clients’ lives and lifestyles.

As often as possible, we work with our clients, talk to their children, and conduct family meetings to discuss trust issues, business succession, or the support of a child or elderly parent. At all times, we work to streamline clients’ financial to-do lists, introduce and accelerate the opportunities wealth, and bring them what they define as “peace of mind” – so that they can enjoy the people and passions in their lives.

Anchoring our ability to provide outstanding service is our experienced support staff. With respect and responsiveness, they address clients’ specific needs – from paying bills to handling wire transfers, to opening accounts, even setting up hotel accommodations for clients who travel extensively.
