My service model at Merrill Lynch is focused on consistency and discipline to provide my clients with an exemplary service experience and access to highly sophisticated financial solutions based upon the client's risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs and overall investment goals. I apply this goals-based approach to servicing the financial needs of high net worth individuals and their families, businesses, and endowments of 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations.

My approach to wealth management is consultative, objective and committed to excellence. Drawing upon the breadth and depth of Merrill Lynch's wealth management platform and with access to Bank of America's expansive banking services, I work with my clients to implement sophisticated financial strategies that go beyond investing in stocks and bonds. I help my clients build and transfer their wealth, satisfy current and expected liquidity needs, manage expected college education costs, plan for maintaining sufficient retirement income, and help ensure that our non-profit organizations are effectively executing within the parameters set forth in their Investment Policy Statements.

Clients can expect a service model centered on the highest level of client confidentiality and full disclosure. I focus on maintaining open communication and proactive, ongoing reviews. I take the time to listen to and review my clients' financial situations in order to develop the strategies and solutions necessary to meet their short- and long-term financial goals.

Brendan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., and holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Brendan is a graduate of St. Vincent College, where he received a B.S. in Finance. In his time at St. Vincent College, Brendan was a four year member of the men’s ice hockey team. A native of the DC Metropolitan area, Brendan attended The Heights School in Potomac, MD.  He currently resides in Washington, DC.



I follow the deep-seated Merrill Lynch tradition of participating in the communities we serve. This drives my interest in spending time volunteering with organizations in our community.

My goal is to help clients pursue their personal goals, such as planning for and funding their children’s educations, helping to ensure that their money lasts in retirement, planning for their potential health care costs and managing the transfer of wealth to the younger generation. Everything I do takes into account clients’ personal perspectives and priorities. I aim to help bring simplicity and transparency to the complexities of investing; making the intimidating task of planning for the future an exciting journey of managing and helping reach your goals.

By gaining a deeper understanding of how you think and feel about investing through this assessment, we can customize the financial strategy we develop together to help you with your approach for what matters most to you. Our Investment Personality Assessment is one of the ways to help me get to know you – to understand your goals and priorities. These questions will give you a sense of the full assessment and help us provide you with additional insights and resources.
