Timothy A Kasper



Tim joined Merrill in 1999 and has seen how the entrepreneurial spirit in South Florida has helped benefit family businesses, professionals and the community. For many years, Tim has focused on franchised automotive dealerships, helping owners with investment management for their service contract assets and with family wealth planning. This experience has also helped him in his work with all types of businesses facing the challenges of succession, cash management, attracting and retaining skilled professionals, planning for retirement and creating a legacy in their community.

He believes the foundation of each client relationship is a customized financial approach that is easy for clients to follow. It can help them stay disciplined − even when the business climate, uncontrollable events or market volatility may make it tough to do so.

Tim believes that financial challenges and opportunities to create wealth can present themselves equally during good economic times as well as when downturns are experienced. By embracing digital technology in addition to traditional forms of communication, clients are encouraged to maintain a dialogue with the team. He believes it’s important for clients to feel they can reach out to him anytime about their concerns, as well as their aspirations, new business opportunities and family events that may have a financial impact. By striving to be direct and transparent in all client interactions, he and his team believe clients are better able to connect their actions with the pursuit of their goals.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification as well as the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designations. He and his wife raised two daughters in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and his eldest, Megan, joined Merrill in 2019, helping form The Kasper Group. Tim enjoys staying fit and fishing.
