Logan’s commitment to personal integrity and financial transparency helps him attract a growing circle of accomplished women and men – physicians and other medical professionals, business owners, teachers and professors (many with pensions), clients in the oil and gas industry, and generations of extended families in Southern Illinois, Southern Indiana, Kentucky and more than 20 other states.
Before ever discussing dollars and cents, Logan engages clients in thoughtful conversations about where they currently stand and what they’d like to achieve. His planning-based approach is disciplined and designed to help clients – both active and retired – identify and prioritize meaningful goals for themselves and the people they love. On behalf of business owners, Logan’s proficiency in succession planning helps them plan and prepare for liquidity events, or passing along their enterprises.
With a rewarding retirement a key concern for many clients, Logan provides in-depth wealth and retirement planning strategies whether their objective is to enjoy a fulfilling retirement lifestyle, create an enduring family legacy, or both. He also develops strategies to help clients fund their children’s educational expenses and coordinates with their CPAs and attorneys to align tax-minimization and estate planning strategies.
“Sadly, many clients are referred to me after suffering a tragedy – the loss of a spouse, a severe illness, divorce or the loss of a job. Like me, most clients are fairly conservative and risk-averse,” Logan explains. “I only make recommendations I would feel confident in following myself. Growing up in a small town, I relate well to good people and believe clients trust me. I’m proud that so many followed me to Merrill.”
When it comes to investing, Logan utilizes Merrill research and models to help craft a diversified portfolio for each client – typically, with equities, municipal bonds, ETFs and mutual funds. Favoring blue-chip companies with recognizable names and long track records, Logan reminds clients,“These are the companies that work for you every day.”
Logan also provides clients with access to the full complement of services available through Bank of America, N.A. including residential and securities-based lending. Additionally, he calls upon the firm’s trust specialists for fiduciary services related to individual, family and charitable trusts.

Logan’s interest in financial services began amid difficult circumstances. Growing up in the oil business, he was prepared to run his family’s company when his stepfather passed away. Accompanying his mother to a local financial advisor, Logan witnessed what he calls “the value of good advice helping my mom triumph over tragedy.”
Logan holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and Marketing from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Oakland City University. He spent three years at Edward Jones before joining Merrill in 2020. Logan resides with his family in Evansville, Indiana where he coaches youth baseball and assists with several basketball leagues. He also serves on the board of The Gibson County Community Foundation. Logan and his wife, Jessica, have three kids, two frogs and a Mini Golden Doodle.
