Jon Hafemann is an experienced Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Jon offers depth in Business Retirement Planning, as well as customized wealth strategies for business owners and their executive team members.

 An attentive listener, Jon is skilled in helping business owners design and administer retirement plans that reflect the unique nature of their businesses and employees, sensitive to an owner’s fiduciary responsibilities. Adept in 401(k), SIMPLE, SEP, MEAP, and MEP plan designs, he is proud to help business owners see their employees “to and through” retirement. Business owners, in turn, recognize the value of their retirement plans in attracting and retaining a high-caliber workforce, resulting in reduced turnover and greater continuity for their enterprises.

 A strong relationship builder, Jon helps business owners realize what is possible for their Business Retirement Plans, helping them benchmark their plan design, fees, service, and administrative functions. He emphasizes that retirement plans are not simply commodities that are interchangeable. Instead, he takes the time to ask thoughtful questions, working in concert with a business owner to perform a thorough needs assessment, as well as a review of a plan’s Investment Policy Statement and menu selections.

 Jon and his team look to make plan servicing and administration as easy as possible, providing owners with a go-to file that keeps all plan documentation accessible and up-to-date. Jon also prides himself on educating workers about their options and the importance of starting early on their paths to greater financial security. Jon explains that his service model is intensive, reliable, and extremely responsive. Business owners look to him for quarterly visits, customized participation reports, and turnkey administration.

 A Financial Advisor since 2016, Jon draws on extensive experience in planning, investing, and wealth management. Earlier, he spent eight years in various roles within financial services. Jon earned his undergraduate degree in Business cum laude from Concordia University. He holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary AdvisorTM designation.
