Rick has cultivated an almost 30 year career with Merrill Lynch by providing sophisticated customized financial strategies to clients in the High Net Worth market place. He has consistently been recognized by “Barron’s Magazine” as one of the Top 1200 Financial Advisors in the United States, most recently in 2017. Along with his recognition in Barron’s Magazine, Rick was also named to Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” list in 2018. He was also recognized as one of the Top Wealth Managers by the National Association of Board Certified Advisory Practices (NABCAP), in both 2012 and 2013. Additionally with Merrill Lynch, Rick is a sought after speaker to other of the firm’s advisors on the implementation of the firm’s long term strategy for success through the Optimal Practice Model (OPM). He has also achieved the title of Senior Portfolio Manager. He attributes his team’s success to their relentless passion for excellence and their ability to help clients understand and focus on what’s really important for their personal financial well-being.
Originally from Chicago, Rick earned his undergraduate degree in Engineering from Southern Illinois University and also received his MBA in Finance from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida.
Rick lives in Leawood, with his wife and three children. He has served on the board of the Medical Missions Foundation, was a Boy Scout leader and a baseball coach. Both Rick and his entire family continue to volunteer for the Harvester’s Food Network and other community organizations.

*On October 25, 2013, "Kansas City Business Journal" published NABCAP's list of Premier Advisors. NABCAP, a 501(c)3 non-profit, assesses 20 categories of practice management and objectively compares and evaluates all participants numerically. A minimum score must be attained for a practice to be considered for the final list, and the winners are then listed in alphabetical order. The list details Advisory practice credentials, specialties, avg. size client and size of practice. There is no cost for advisors to participate and be considered for publication.
