Since 2002, Ben has worked with families, professionals, and small businesses to define and develop strategies that help them pursue their short, medium and long-term financial goals. Ben’s personal approach to planning reflects his understanding that each client has unique needs and objectives. His process involves regularly reviewing and updating strategies designed to pursue these identified goals. He most typically guides clients in the development and maintenance of a broad range of wealth management strategies which include planning for retirement, college funding for children and survivor needs concerns.
While Ben has the knowledge and experience to work with all types of clients, he has developed a high level of focus advising two groups – attorneys and business owners in the real estate and government contracting industries. Ben understands the typical concerns and opportunities available to these clients. He is familiar with the typical career path of an attorney within a big law firm environment, the government or in-house. He also has a specific focus on helping business owners to develop and manage qualified retirement plans designed to reduce tax liabilities, accumulate wealth and to attract and retain key employees.
Prior to his career as a Financial Advisor, Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University. He has since continued his education in financial services by earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant in 2010, a designation, awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. More recently, he also completed the coursework and testing to obtain the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation in 2017, awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute™. The requirements for the CIMA® included coursework at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
Ben is involved in the community both within and outside of his industry. He currently serves on the Board of the National Capitol Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals, the finance council for St. Jane De Chantal parish and he also stays heavily involved with both the John Carroll Society and the Washington and Lee University Alumni association. He resides in Bethesda, MD with his wife Lauren, daughter Morgan, sons JP and Knox, and golden retriever Charlie.

*Peace of mind is an aspirational state of mind that clients hope to achieve. There are no guaranteed results following completion of the Goals-Based Wealth Management process because markets can fluctuate and investments can lose value. Advisors work with clients to help them understand how the goals based wealth management process can help to address their concerns, financial situation and priorities.
Helping you reach your goals starts with getting to know you personally. Through understanding what matters most to you, I can help you create a financial strategy that reflects your personality. Only then can I offer an approach that is built around your life priorities and the ongoing advice you need to help you manage fluctuations in the market and changes in your life. Let’s work together to help you achieve your goals.
