Jon Stroebel, CFA, C(k)P®, CPFA, CFP® helps select families and individuals, business owners, corporate executives and government contractors pursue the retirement they desire. Putting clients’ interests first is the keystone of his comprehensive approach to wealth management, and he deeply appreciates the trust clients place in him.
Jon begins by searching for the unique financial circumstances and personalities of each individual. He analyzes each client’s balance sheet, and uses Merrill Lynch’s goals-based wealth management process to better understand each client’s individual investment temperament. With this knowledge, Jon can assess the financial resources necessary to help create investment models and strategies geared specifically for helping each client pursue their specific goals.
Leveraging the investment resources of Merrill Lynch and the banking strength of Bank of America, Jon can offer access to a global network of specialists and research, and create a framework designed to optimize short- and long-range goals, such as retirement income, education funding, wealth transfer and beyond.
The relationships that Jon seeks to build and maintain come not only from helping clients to create wealth management strategies but also from a deep commitment to service. Helping clients to understand their wealth possibilities — and what it means to them today and in the future — is greatly important to Jon. He proactively communicates with clients and can offer simple explanations for complex investments. When clients must address difficult choices, he serves as a source of information and guidance intended to help them decide with clarity and confidence. Jon joined Merrill Lynch in 2012 after serving seven years as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley. Today, he brings a focus on retirement strategies to client relationships and provides wealth management for successful business owners, corporate executives, individuals, and their families.
Jon’s core belief is to place the interests of clients first. He feels he earns clients’ confidence in his services through a comprehensive investment approach, open communication, and timely, goals-driven response to every financial need. And because no two clients’ needs are the same, he customizes clients’ financial road maps from their distinct values and ambitions. While helping to oversee clients’ investment strategies, Jon also works to address their liabilities in order to help grow and preserve their wealth for generations to come.
Jon lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife, Meghan; their two children, Christian and Elizabeth; and chocolate lab, Brody. He is actively involved in his community through his parish, All Saints Episcopal Church. He also is a member of the National Capital Chapter for the Society of Financial Services Professionals and the National Association of Plan Advisors. Jon was recently credentialed as a Certified 401k(k) Professional - and holds the C(k)P® Designation, which represents the distinguished achievement for the professional Retirement Plan Advisor. The C(k)P® is administered by the Retirement Advisor University in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. Lastly, Jon is also a member of the CFA Society in Washington, DC and the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.
