Keith H. Silverstein, CRPC®
Senior Financial Advisor
First Vice President
Keith has been a financial advisor since 1987, joining Merrill Lynch in 2005 after a number of years with another financial services firm. He works with self-motivated entrepreneurs, professionals, and affluent individuals and their families, to develop strategies that can withstand a variety of market conditions.
Additionally, Keith focuses on Retirement Planning upon recieving his Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation. Specific preparation for pre- and postretirement issues are examined to evaluate the design of your plan and to help ensure it is the optimal retirement plan for your specific lifestyle.
The wealth management process we undertake with clients is designed to help them feel confident about being able to maintain their lifestyle and meet their goals. Crucial to this process is obtaining an in-depth understanding of client needs, wants and goals, and especially their tolerance for risk. My experience over the past several years has been that clients tend to overestimate their tolerance for risk. We utilize several sophisticated Merrill Lynch tools to carefully gauge clients’ risk sensitivity and then incorporate that into the customized strategies we create for them.
Along with our professional approach, we bring organization and discipline to family finances. When clients grant us permission we can proactively work with their professional team of lawyers and accountants, facilitating estate planning services or documentation needed for a variety of business and personal transactions. The significant time individuals would normally devote to managing their finances and investments can be spent on other pursuits they enjoy – knowing that their investments are being monitored in strict adherence to the strategies agreed upon together.
|One of the advantages of working at Merrill Lynch is the ability to leverage their vast resources and technology to identify and monitor best of breed asset management firms that we believe are most suited to your situation. We consider our own history with these portfolio managers, along with Merrill Lynch’s due diligence efforts, before making investment recommendations. The portfolio managers entrusted with your assets are continuously monitored and evaluated by Merrill Lynch professionals along with our own highly focused and disciplined oversight. Should any changes to your asset allocation or investments become warranted, whether they be short-term or long-term in nature, we will fully discuss those recommendations with you before any decisions are made, making sure you are comfortable with the changes.
Keith is a graduate of the University of Maryland and received his M.B.A. in finance from the University of Baltimore. He lives in Owings Mills, MD, with his wife and their two teenage children. He is active in the Maryland Bond Club and holds a leadership role in coordinating Managed Accounts for the Merrill Lynch branch.

*Peace of mind is an aspirational state of mind that clients hope to achieve. There are no guaranteed results following completion of the Goals-Based Wealth Management process because markets can fluctuate and investments can lose value. Advisors work with clients to help them understand how the goals based wealth management process can help to address their concerns, financial situation and priorities.
Helping you reach your goals starts with getting to know you personally. Through understanding what matters most to you, I can help you create a financial strategy that reflects your personality. Only then can I offer an approach that is built around your life priorities and the ongoing advice you need to help you manage fluctuations in the market and changes in your life. Let’s work together to help you achieve your goals.
As Merrill Lynch financial advisors, we will sort through the financial complexities of your life, helping you build a customized investment strategy to pursue your goals.
