We consider ourselves to be as highly motivated as the clients we serve – which says quite a bit, considering their stature as accomplished professionals and active members of their communities. Having received referrals to their colleagues, friends, and extended families, we now serve clients across New England and the nation. 

With our well-rounded perspectives, varied ages and deep bench of seasoned support staff, we believe that we relate effectively to the urgent challenges facing clients at various stages of the wealth accumulation and transfer continuum. Critical to our approach is getting out in front of clients’ situations and transitions – helping them plan and prepare for likely and unlikely circumstances.

Our deep familiarity with clients allows us to craft highly customized, forward-looking strategies that can help satisfy their wide-ranging goals and values. Uncommon Approach

Ours is not a typical approach, because we do not serve “typical” clients. They include successful, well-known individuals – from athletes and coaches, to leaders in finance and technology.

A hallmark of our approach is the close nature of the relationships we have with clients. We recognize clients’ voices when they call, as well as their comfort with risk. We know what keeps clients up at night and what gets them up each morning. Above all, we know that both communication and performance matter to clients, and both are why we believe they choose us.

Many clients come to us looking for a trusted advisor whom they have read or heard about. Despite their wealth, many don’t have a financial strategy or estate plan. We look to connect the dots in clients’ complex financial lives with highly customized, tax-efficient strategies, in concert with their other advisors.  We also aim to bring both spouses to the table, to agree on goals and concerns.

By staying in frequent contact, we can respond to clients’ urgent needs as well as shifts in what they would like to accomplish long term. Being proactive also reflects our commitment – to educate clients on where they stand, what they own, and the impact of decisions on intergenerational wealth.

Our Philosophy

Merrill Lynch allows us to deliver on a philosophy we’ve honed for decades: Specifically, we believe that building tax efficient, research intensive portfolios is what serves our clients' best interests over the long run.  Our team's deep knowledge – coupled with our exhaustive personal due diligence and that of the firm – help drive theses risk-managed strategies and portfolios that we build for clients. Often, we look beyond equities, bonds and ETFs to include alternative investments, when suitable (private equity and real estate, for example).

• Additionally, the tailored lending capabilities of Bank of America, N.A. allow us to provide access to residential, securities-based and commercial lending – including highly sophisticated structured lending for our clients. 
• We also coordinate with clients’ CPAs and attorneys, and with U.S. Trust specialists – to align tax minimization and estate planning strategies that are individually tailored.

Specifically, we serve professional athletes, coaches and team owners,  business owners and corporate executives (in health care, biotech, technology, and finance), physicians, retired couples, and widowed and divorced individuals. It’s worth noting that fellow financial professionals (private equity and hedge fund executives, in particular) respect our ability to help them manage their wealth.

While clients have taken distinct paths to their achievements, virtually all have come our way through word of mouth – which we believe reflects our experience, energy, and commitment to people who place their trust in us.
