We are led by two highly respected financial professionals – Camilo Mejia and Hector Hernandez – known for their ability to preserve and grow client wealth as it spans generations of clients’ families.

Rare among advisors with strong international knowledge is Hector’s status as a former CPA and controller. This background informs his understanding of clients’ overall financial picture – both personal and corporate. Camilo’s knowledge, care and devotion to clients are equally significant and reflect our team’s impressive offering.

When asked, we characterize our offering as a rich library of knowledge and best practices. Privacy is a pillar of our offering. Still, we learn from strategies that have helped others in similar situations and bring that knowledge to our clients. when helpful. 

In addition to keeping our hands on the pulse of geo-political, economic and social conditions that can affect a client’s wealth and wishes, we do everything possible to stay current with the details of a client’s financial and personal life. While that may sound surprising, we remind clients that, for example, “Their biggest risk could be a child about to get married.”

For this reason, we try to establish a highly personal dynamic with the key members of the family. Encouraging frequent discussions – separately and together – we ask about new situations and considerations that may affect the family’s goals and objectives.

Beyond building a personal rapport with clients, our highly analytical approach allows us to uncover opportunities and areas of weakness. For us, “consolidation” is a key word. It describes our devotion to examining a client’s entire financial picture across multiple ventures and countries.

We also pay close attention to a client’s trust circumstances and how wealth can transition efficiently to future generations. Looking at the structure of client’s wealth – in the U.S. and offshore – we may suggest meeting with a client’s legal or accounting team to identify issues that need to be addressed. Only after this degree of diligence do we feel confident in building a long-term wealth management strategy for each client – one that employs tax-advantaged considerations and is designed to help insulate a client’s net worth from market conditions, lawsuits or frivolous spending.   

Acting much like a family office, we are structured to provide white-glove service that’s appropriate to opportunities and challenges facing our clients. We also assist from simple checking and savings accounts to the complex multi-country, multi-generational and corporate structures.
