At The Maxson-Huang-Holmes Wealth Management Group, we enjoy a proud tradition – of cultivating collaborative and trusted relationships with clients whose values we often share. Since 1987 the Maxson-Huang-Holmes group has been serving our clients from our home office located in Dearborn Michigan.

From first-generation Americans to generations of families residing in the Metro Detroit area and 25 other states, our clients have accumulated assets that reflect their hard work and perseverance. But that’s where similarities end. As our client, you’ve taken your own path to success – and have distinct concerns and ambitions. That’s why it’s incumbent on us to develop a clear notion of your accomplishments, passions, and attitude toward wealth.

Inherent in everything we do is our oath to be completely honest with you, at all times. If what you envision is not likely attainable, we will certainly tell you. Conversely, if your goals are quite easily within reach, we will outline what you can likely afford going forward – as long as you follow a carefully prescribed financial strategy. We believe that many clients have become our close friends as a result of mutual respect and the trust they place in us.

How do we learn? By listening to our firm’s thought leaders and especially, to you, our client. In fact, we don’t assume anything about you. We listen closely to what you say (and often, don’t say). As our client, you will receive a degree of acumen and attention that may surprise you. Unlike many advisory groups – perhaps, your previous one – we don’t offer “cookie-cutter” financial strategies because we don’t have “cookie-cutter” clients. For this reason, we:

  • Select investments that reflect our assessment of you, along with your stated short- and long-term objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and investment timeline. We incorporate these and other considerations into an overall wealth management strategy.

  • Look at “holes” in your financial picture. Perhaps long-term care, life, key man, or other forms of insurance can help safeguard your wealth. In some cases, updating your beneficiaries is all that’s needed.

  • Communicate clearly and honestly. We have long pushed for other advisors to be more straightforward with clients and use simple explanations. Many of our clients are fascinated with the details of their strategies and we’re happy to explain how we think, what they own and why. For all clients, we recognize their time constraints and confidence in our ability to manage the intricacies of complex financial issues.

  • Help you understand your retirement spending needs, before you retire – dividing likely expenditures into needs (food, property taxes, health care, etc.) and wants (dining, traveling, gifting, etc.). When it comes to investments, we may use “endowment investment theory” to help you secure a predictable income stream through retirement with a risk-managed portfolio diversified across asset classes.

  • Can coordinate with your CPA and attorney to align our efforts when building a tax-minimization and estate planning strategy.

  • Provide access to residential, commercial and securities-based lending by connecting you with specialists at Bank of America, N.A.
