On behalf of affluent clients in the Tri-State area and coast-to-coast, Abe and his team actively address the complex financial challenges of professional entertainers, physicians, senior financial executives, attorneys, business owners, retirees, second-generation clients, and non-profit organizations.
Often, Abe seeks to preserve wealth and achieve steady growth for clients and families – most who’ve been with him for ten or 20 years. Striving to align clients’ portfolios with their goals, comfort with risk, and, especially, prevailing market risk, Abe and his team utilize the research of Merrill Lynch and other resources, as well as input from thought leaders on Wall Street.
After customizing client portfolios across asset classes – equities (including high-dividend payers), bonds, ETFs, mutual funds and alternative investments* – Abe diligently measures and monitors portfolio fluctuations. “We educate clients so each can understand their asset allocation. Then, we remain true to that initial allocation – rebalancing, when necessary, to mitigate risk. By carefully explaining what we do, clients can appreciate what’s evolving within their portfolios,” Abe points out.
With years spent in accounting, Abe is highly attuned to tax efficiency and how pieces of a client’s financial puzzle affect overall wealth. Collaborating with his team and firm-wide resources, Abe provides access to residential and securities-based lending, by working closely with a Wealth Management Lending Officer from Bank of America NA. “My team is exceptional – and we’re passionate about providing superior service,” says Abe. “For estate planning, we connect clients with top attorneys. Before joining Merrill Lynch in 1980 as a Financial Advisor, Abe worked at Paine Webber and Prudential Bache Securities, where he began in auditing (after launching his accounting career by specializing in auditing broker dealer firms).
Abe is a native of Chicago who graduated from Chicago’s Roosevelt University and played on the school’s basketball team. Today, Abe and his wife, Renee, are proud parents of four children and live in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. When he’s not building client's in-depth and transparent financial strategies, Abe serves on his synagogue’s board (as he has for many years), enjoys to travel, and is an avid Brooklyn Nets and New York Yankees fan.
