At the end of that process, clients receive a goals based plan and it is important that only after assessing the costs versus the value of his services the clients decide to hire his services.

Equally important is to continue the process by actively monitoring and meeting periodically with his clients to review progress and course correct if necessary in addition to collaborating with his clients other professionals like CPA's and Estate attorneys.

Professional Background:

Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Shyam held various positions in financial risk management at various fortune 500 companies since he graduated from college (2001). Shyam attended the University of Missouri where he earned his MBA in Finance prior to which he attended the University Of Madras, India where he earned his Bachelors in Engineering.

In order to better serve his clients Shyam obtained the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation awarded by the IInvestments & Wealth Institute™ after completing required coursework from University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton school of business.

Personal Background:

Shyam was born in India and later on moved to the US in 1999. He currently lives in East Windsor, New Jersey with his wife, their 12 year old son and 8 year old daughter. He enjoys travelling with his family and his favorite time pass is learning and cooking various cuisines.

Shyam is very passionate and deeply involved with many nonprofit’s, particularly charitable organizations in the community.

He currently serves as Advisor to the Board of Trustees at ACOD, the American Conference on Diversity. ACOD is dedicated to building just and inclusive schools, workplaces, and communities through awareness, education, and advocacy.

He also serves as a Trustee at an Indian Hindu faith based charitable organization that strives to uplift women and treat all as equal irrespective of race, color, gender or faith. He actively organizes cultural events to support local food banks and communities in need of assistance.

His long term ambition is to dedicate a sizable portion of his resources to help fight hunger and starvation for human beings across the globe.

Cost Structure

One of my value proposition to my clients is to be transparent in our services and the associated costs for each. This empowers them to decide what they can and cannot afford in alignment with what services they need.

While we do not turndown requests for guidance from anyone, we do reffer clients in their accumulation stage and who may be fee sensitive to use our self-directed low cost model through Merrill Edge. Please visit to learn more.

For most other clients, we offer services based on a combination of the following depending upon the strategies we design.

- Fee based Fiduciary advisory services through the Firm’s Investment Advisory Program where clients pay an annual fee as a certain percentage of the assets under management. This fee is charged to their account on a monthly basis.

- Transactional costs are fee’s and expenses that are associated with certain types of strategies that do not require on-going advice and guidance. These are one time charges and are not recurring like the one above.

Just like our strategies that are custom built to our clients needs, so is our service model. They could be either one of the above or in most cases a hybrid of the two but in various propotions, details of which will be clearly stated in our proposals.
