At The Fiala Ruivo Group, we have a proud story that continues to be told. It revolves around the deep and enduring relationships we’ve built with a loyal and growing bi-cultural clientele.

Our mission? To create immeasurable value for clients whose wealth spans generations and the world’s geography – typically those residing in the U.S. and internationally. Delivering an exceptional degree of diligence and devotion, we are intentional and caring in our highly personal approach.

Who do we serve? A wonderful blend of ambitious women, men and their families. Most are successful business owners and active and retired executives of domestic and multi-national companies. In the United States, we assist architects, writers and attorneys (including members of the LGBTQ community), as well as divorced and widowed women, and our colleagues on Wall Street who trust our ability to invest wisely on their behalf.
We are well aware that each client’s achievements have led to significant wealth. Therefore, it is incumbent upon us to help manage that wealth responsibly and in the most responsive manner by being readily available when they call. It’s just one aspect of our boutique-like, white-glove service model. Results and relationships matter to us – and especially, to people with complex financial circumstances.

At the heart of what we do is our planning-based approach. From the outset of each relationship, we help clients explore their most cherished goals for themselves, and the people they love. By asking questions and listening more than talking, we help clients identify the purpose of their wealth, so that the multi-pronged strategy we develop can help them feel comfortable in its pursuit.

A growing number have referred others – friends, colleagues and family members across continents and generations.

At the core of our offering is a commitment to act as caring, trustworthy stewards of clients’ interests – financial and otherwise. Thanks to the breadth and depth of each relationship, we find it easy to treat clients like members of our own families. In face-to-face meetings, we try to ask questions of both spouses and, when appropriate, clients’ grown children. We see clients as people, not portfolios. We consider many clients to be among our closest friends.

Each of us speaks the language – and understands the culture – of our clients. As bi-lingual and bi-cultural advisors, we can help clients feel comfortable telling us about their proudest accomplishments and greatest concerns. Clients come to us with wealth, but have little time to manage their substantial assets. In hearing stories from clients, we learn that their hearts and minds are typically focused on positioning family members for results in the near future and for generations to come.

Regardless of what drives clients, we are driven to be their “first and only call” when any issue arises – from liquidity to lending, from investing to intergenerational wealth planning. As our client, you can expect that we will:

• Talk to you frequently – more often than a previous advisor might have. In fact, speaking to you once every two months is not common. By staying on top of your situation and ambitions, we can provide the level of wealth management that is proactive, rather than reactive.

• Coordinate efforts, when helpful, with your CPA and attorney – whether you reside in the U.S. or abroad. Tax consequences are critical, which is why we will focus on yours throughout the year, not just at “tax time.” Equally important is your intergenerational wealth planning strategy, which we will help design to allow your assets to pass along efficiently to family members in accordance with your wishes. Extending our reach beyond what many advisors do, we provide what we call “pre-estate planning services” – saving clients time by giving our thoughts and notes to their attorneys.

• Work dynamically and responsibly with multiple generations of your family. Our team members’ ages align nicely with older and younger clients – allowing us to nurture relationships with each member of your family. As a team, we will talk, travel and meet with you – as often as needed. It is our belief that “Every client is everyone’s business.”

• Apply our extensive understanding of regulations in the United States and internationally. Our deep knowledge of currency issues, inflation, wealth transfer and tax consequences also allow us to construct forward-thinking wealth management strategies meant to serve future generations.

• Invest with a seasoned and watchful eye on global conditions and opportunities. If you reside in abroad chances are you favor investments in U.S. dollars. To help mitigate portfolio risk, we focus on diversification across asset classes and sectors. We also look to optimize both sides of your balance sheet – assets and liabilities. Offering the worldwide capabilities of Bank of America, N.A., we can help you access residential, securities-based, and commercial lending. On your behalf, we will call upon specialists throughout the firm. Bringing these people to the table can represent a rare combination of sophistication, resourcefulness, customized strategies and an extra measure of unbiased insight.
