Per Furmark seeks to deliver a comprehensive approach to managing wealth, working with clients to discern and quantify their financial priorities while striving to ensure every strategy is properly grounded in the understanding of the client’s financial or personal objectives. Access to the thought leadership and investment insights of Merrill Lynch, the banking services of Bank of America, and the capabilities and experience of his colleagues, enable him to address the many diverse aspects of his clients’ financial lives. Per's approach to wealth management is consultative and holistic, exploring an investor’s complete financial situation, preferences and goals in advance of identifying strategies designed to support the pursuit of a client’s individual objectives. Discussions can cover a wide range of topics including retirement income, insurance protection, education finance, estate planning services, philanthropic strategies in addition to investments.
Per can also offer clients access to a Wealth Management Lending Officer from Bank of America, N.A., who can draw upon an expansive array of cash management, credit and other lending solutions designed to correspond with a client's overall financial strategy. The Wealth Management Lending Officer does not offer investment advice, nor make recommendations on investment products.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Furmark spent his career working with sophisticated investors and their consultants in the private banking and institutional marketplaces while employed by investment managers Fidelity Investments Institutional Services, Franklin Templeton Institutional and Putnam Investments. Today he devotes his energies to serving individual clients and their families, as well as catering to the diverse needs of entrepreneurs and business professionals.
Mr. Furmark has been part of the financial services industry since 1986 and joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2013. Per Furmark is a Senior Portfolio Advisor who can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill Lynch model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.
Per lives in Rowayton, CT and is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he earned a B.A. in English.
