Sam Xiang is a Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in New York City. He began his financial services career in 1995 as a client associate at Merrill^®. In 2008, he relocated to Shanghai, China to work in private banking for Deutsche Bank and rejoined the firm as a Financial Advisor in 2012.

As a founding member of The XK Group, Sam is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Many of his clients have recently emigrated from China and are uniquely successful individuals, families, corporate executives, and business owners who are concerned with preserving, growing, and transferring their wealth to future generations. Highly ethical, adaptable, and empathetic, he takes pride in his ability to explain complex topics in clear terms to help his clients understand his recommendations and make informed decisions about their wealth management.

Recognizing that business owners have complex personal and business wealth management needs that are closely intertwined, Sam can provide strategic advice and guidance on such issues as growing a business, realizing its value through a sale, and maintaining family ownership. In addition to earning a Bachelor’s degree in management and information systems from New York University Stern School of Business, Sam holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor^® (CPFA^®) designation. He is a member of the National Association of Plan Sponsors.

Sam and his wife, Susan, reside in Bergen County, New Jersey, where they are raising their daughter. A self-proclaimed “foodie,” his hobbies also center around playing golf and tennis.
