Hoping to work in a field where she could do well for herself by doing well for others, Danielle joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1992. She has never looked back. Instead, she has felt fulfilled helping clients look forward to important goals they envision for the people and causes that hold meaning in their lives.

On a given day, Danielle finds herself guiding and advising clients on four continents. Her commitment to providing “best practices” and serving their best interests has resulted in loyalty among many clients who’ve been with her for decades. Danielle believes that keeping clients educated and informed is critical. She also extends herself to clients’ children – helping them understand the challenges of managing wealth and steps toward financial independence.

 Danielle’s focus on serving clients as their lives evolve and needs change led to rigorous training and becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Danielle is also a qualified Senior Portfolio Advisor who can help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis custom investment strategies, selecting from a wide range of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management model portfolios and third-party investment strategies.
 
Danielle began her Merrill Lynch Wealth Management career in New York City and moved to White Plains while earning an MBA in International Business from Pace University. She also holds an Advanced Certificate in International Business from the American University in Rome, Italy and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Adelphi University. 

An avid traveler, enjoys her time on the beach, loves to exercise, especially HIIT classes, is a fan of spin cycling, swimming in the ocean and most of all traveling to new places and tasting new foods.  Enjoys her summers in Avalon, NJ. Danielle and her husband, Robert Cosentino, are the proud parents of three sons. When the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing, the family gathers in full team attire (jersey, caps, and waving Terrible Towels). Loves to watch college football, proud member of the University of Notre Dame New York Club and the Penn State Parents Alumni Association. More quietly, Danielle a cancer survivor herself,  supports breast cancer survivors and several non-profit organizations in Westchester.

Throughout my long career, I’ve been fortunate to serve the distinct wealth management requirements of CEOs and CFOs around the globe. Today, I continue to assist these successful individuals and multiple generations of affluent families living all around the world, and closer to home – in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and 20 other states.

It is my belief that clients genuinely respect my knowledge and “know-how” – as does the industry. In fact, I was named to Forbes  "Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" List in 2018 (*Published on February 15, 2018. Rankings based on data as of June 30, 2017) – and to Working Mother/SHOOK Research’s “Top Wealth Adviser Moms” in 2017 (*Published on October 3, 2017. Rankings based on data as of Mar 31, 2017).


Why do clients come to me? I believe it begins with my reputation for focusing squarely and consistently on each client’s financial needs (many of which have been ignored previously). Treating clients like family and feeling honored that many clients do the same, I am often the first call for clients’ financial and personal decisions. Beyond that, my ability to “act like a sponge” – absorbing decades of learning from an elite circle of individuals – allows me to help each client pursue his or her vision of what wealth can accomplish.


Experience tells me that working closely with both spouses (and their children, given the opportunity) is critical to addressing multiple considerations and concerns. Just as I make my family a clear priority in my life, I am also committed to enhancing the financial and emotional wellness of entire client families. A PLANNING-BASED APPROACH

My culture of caring demands that I work with clients who seem like the right fit for me. To figure that out, I want to know “everything” about them. Early discussions span a range of topics – from their careers and visions, to their most cherished memories, achievements, interests and greatest fears. Being a client’s trusted advisor also means that I need to trust that client – to be sincere, straightforward and feel comfortable asking questions of me.

To connect the dots in clients’ lives, I strive to connect with clients as people with passions that, in many cases, I share with them. Clients often fascinate me with tales of their professional and personal lives. My family is important to me and clients are no different. That’s why I’m driven to review wills, health care proxies and other documents that can have a lasting impact on inter-generational wealth. I feel responsible and accountable to clients – and I always do what’s best for them, not me.

Financially speaking, I typically begin by examining a client’s lifestyle needs, with cash flow requirements and wealth preservation at the core of each goals-driven strategy. Moving forward, my deep exposure to single stock position strategies, portfolio management, wealth transfer, and retirement and legacy planning allows me to customize integrated wealth management strategies with many moving parts. As clients’ financial lives are in constant motion, I closely oversee and adjust each strategy as needed.

Despite the sophistication of many clients, I believe a simple explanation should accompany each recommendation – regardless of its complexity. Clients are busy. They deserve that I streamline tasks on their behalf. For this reason, I often coordinate with their CPAs and attorneys to align tax-minimization and estate planning strategies. I also connect clients with specialists at Bank of America, N.A. for high-end residential, commercial and securities-based lending.

Global Prespective

Each financial advisor is the sum of their experiences. And mine continue to shape my insights and appreciation of a global economy. Through frequent dialog with my clients around the world and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management thought leaders, I am able to craft risk-managed investment, tax-minimization, and estate planning strategies that allow clients to preserve wealth and their vision of what it can accomplish.

Throughout my long career, I’ve been fortunate to serve the distinct wealth management requirements of CEOs and CFOs around the globe. I’ve worked closely with successful individuals and multiple generationsof affluent families living in Canada, Brazil, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Israel, Hong Kong and all throughout Asia. In addition, closer to home I work closely with clients in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and 19 otherstates. As background, for decades, I have served active and retired CEOs and CFOs of Fortune 500 companies. . Many have been sent to, and currently reside in, Europe, Asia and South America. The regulations of each country (and in the case of Canada, eachprovince) require my experienced knowledge and ongoing awareness of local regulatory restrictions.

Due to the diversity and geographic footprint of my clients, I focus on global synchronization, local economies, and emerging opportunities. More than anything, I take a holistic and realistic approach to serving each client. My integrity guides me in being honest with clients. I believe my sincerity is a key reason why clients have been with me for so long and continue to refer others.

When it comes to investing, I encourage clients to share my long-term outlook and belief in diversification across asset classes, sectors and borders. Ultimately, I work with each client to formulate a strategy that reflects his or her investment personality and priorities. Some clients benefit from a lower-cost ETF strategy. For those whose portfolios include individual equities, I favor well-respected companies with attractive price-to-earning ratios, rising dividends and global exposure.

Being accountable and reachable are hallmarks of my offering. I am here to help clients navigate market volatility and harness their emotions – so that key decisions are driven by facts and figures, rather than media noise and other distractions.
