What We Believe

“Simple beats complicated” is a phrase we share with clients. It applies to the simple explanations we provide – and to the simple but sophisticated investment strategies we customize on each client’s behalf.

We also believe that:

• Our purpose as financial advisors is to help each client define their goals, establish a wealth management strategy (based on their life priorities), and help them “navigate change” throughout their life.

• High-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients should be aware of the “stairs they’ve climbed.” We help clients step back, take pride in their accomplishments, and identify what they envision for themselves and loved ones.

• A diversified investment portfolio should not be over-diversified, or too complex. Our long-term perspective shines a light on high quality companies and creating reliable streams of income – whether they’re equities with dividends that increase over time, or a laddered bond portfolio.

 • Market fluctuation is inevitable. Crafting and following a disciplined strategy is critical. Using internal and external research – and the firm’s due diligence – our highly credentialed team makes unbiased investment decisions as dictated by market conditions and each client’s personal preferences. 

• Tax efficiencies and cost efficiencies are key components of wise investment strategies.

• Clients can benefit from our “balanced” approach to enhancing their wealth. For credit, lending and other forms of liability management, we connect clients with Bank of America, N.A.

What Clients Can Expect

Even the most capable financial advisors may not be the right fit for a client. You deserve to work with “hands-on, ears-open” professionals whom you feel comfortable calling, with any question or request. At Jones Wealth Management, we strive to:

• Listen to your life story – to learn about your priorities. From the outset, we look to engage with you and your spouse (and your entire family, if helpful), to build an appreciation of your situation and aspirations. What are your financial concerns? What’s been in the back of your mind for way too long? And if you could satisfy one financial goal, what would it be?
• Look forward with you – to help you plan and prepare. Retirement may be just around the corner, but other complex challenges may also appear on the horizon. That’s why we’ll bring up legacy and succession planning, as well as health care, Medicare, insurance and Social Security considerations. Insulating your wealth requires the timely introduction and integration of various disciplines.

• Stay in touch and educate whenever possible. Through frequent conversations, we can stay informed and help your family make informed financial choices. We can even help your growing children prepare for interviews and for being financially independent. We may also coordinate with your CPA and attorney, so that our efforts align with theirs – because your best interests drive everything we do.

• Respond like a family member – and serve as a reliable resource. Clients ask us to negotiate car leases for them, recommend home inspectors, and we’re happy to do so. We’ve held meetings with multiple generations to discuss difficult situations and we’ve shown elderly clients how to view their accounts, on the first computer they ever used.

Trust is earned over time. It’s built on doing “little and big things” correctly, again and again.

 At Jones Wealth Management, our multi-generational team reflects the ages of clients we serve throughout Ohio and nationwide. They include active and retired business owners, corporate executives, physicians, attorneys, engineers, and contractors (many with 401k plans).

While diverse in background and what brought them to us, the majority of clients are financially astute. And because they often don’t have time to manage their wealth, they can benefit from our holistic, hands-on approach – one meant to brighten their financial picture by addressing distinct aspects of their wealth.
