A member of the Haddad O'Brien Payton group, John has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, joining Merrill in 2017. Offering clients a complete wealth management plan focused on their goals, John has dedicated himself to thoroughly understanding the priorities and needs of executives going through job transition, having successfully navigated a five month search following a job elimination. John provides these executives and their families with personalized attention, helping them identify their financial goals and needs, coaching them through this stressful time and striving to become their long term trusted advisor.

John starts with listening and understanding his client’s complete situation, preferences and goals, using this information to build a profile.
Next he develops a goals based strategy to work towards those goals.
For job transition, he provides resources, networking connections and best practices.
John also strives to build an informed client base through periodic contact and content so they are equipped to make decisions from a place of knowledge.
Tying it all together, John meets with his clients periodically to review their goals as their needs change.

John creates a customized blend of services leveraging the insights of Merrill and the access to banking conveniences from Bank of America. The financial strategies may include equities, fixed income, alternative investments, ETFs and other types of investments. In addition, John can offer clients access to banking, credit and lending from Bank of America N.A.
About John
John grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati for his BS in Marketing. He then received his MBA from Northern Kentucky University. John’s 20 plus years in the industry include 12 years at Fifth Third Bank and over 8 years at Fidelity Investments. Residing in Pleasant Ridge with his wife Marsha and their 2 boys Will (14) and Ryan (12), John also sits on the board of the Franciscan Ministries, helps lead the Job Search Focus Group and ACG Executive Career Transition Roundtable, and volunteers as coach of his son's soccer and volleyball teams and is a past Scout Master for their Cub Scout pack . A certified car nut John also enjoys most anything related to cars and hanging out with his family.
He currently holds the Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations.
