The Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” ranking considered advisors with a minimum of seven years financial services experience and who have been employed at their current firm for at least one year. This is a list of the top advisors in each state, with the number of ranking spots determined by each state’s population and wealth. Other quantitative and qualitative measures include assets under management, revenues generated by advisors for their firms, and the quality of the advisors’ practices, regulatory records, internal company documents, and 100-plus points of data provided by the advisors themselves. Maintaining principles that clients can believe in

We maintain our approach by following five guiding principles: client focus, communication, excellence, asset preservation and true value.

We’re privileged to work with some of the most affluent families in Oklahoma and across the country—families that have built their wealth step-by-step, through hard work, sacrifice and unwavering focus. These traits are what drive our thinking and service. We believe clients choose our team because we strive to uphold five key principles of wealth management practice:

1. The client comes first. Your best interests are our top priority. WE believe that you’ll see this in the responsiveness of our team members and in the appropriateness of our recommendations to your family’s entire wealth outlook.

2. Keep open lines of communication. AS life changes, your outlook changes. A candid two-way dialogue is essential to keeping up. You can count on us for straight talk and straight answers.

3. Strive for excellence. We are committed to staying informed about the latest market and industry trends, keeping up with the latest portfolio management strategies, while understanding the goals you have for yourself and your wealth.

4. Focus on preservation over growth. Overwhelmingly, clients are interested in preserving the assets they’ve worked so hard to build. Of course, growth is important and, where appropriate, we recommend sensible, prudent ways of pursuing it.

5. Knowing the greater value. Wealth—the kind you measure on a balance sheet—is vitally important to the way you live. However, we respect the value of the other riches in your life—family, integrity, relationships, a quest for something better—and strive to understand how these fit into your goals.

Offering prudent guidance and outstanding customer service

Monger & Associates Wealth Management Group is a highly experienced Merrill Lynch Wealth Management team offering integrated wealth management strategies to a select clientele. Our mission is to exceed your expectations at each stage of you financial life.

We understand the importance of the wealth we’re asked to help manage. We know it is the achievement of what you’ve done today—and the foundation of what your family will accomplish tomorrow. So we concentrate on three key areas of wealth:

Wealth Preservation

Our Wealth Preservation strategies take into account your spending and liabilities, taxes, inflation, wealth transfer plans and charitable giving. We then work with you and your outside tax professionals to help you develop an income and investment structure designed to keep pace with your life.

Risk Management

While developing strategies, we keep your objectives in mind, as well as you risk tolerance, liquidity needs and time horizon. We ask, “What is the risk tolerance of this family?” “Is this course of action correct for their financial personality?” “Does the potential reward match the risk being considered?” We also consider various risk hedging techniques, for certain qualified investors, and guide you on viable uses of insurance and trusts.

Goal-tailored focus

We like to work with clients who follow a principle path. Often these clients use their wealth to pursue goals beyond accumulation. Many of them are involved in helping their communities, establishing foundations, doing what they can to serve a higher good. We understand that these different goals require a different approach—in investing, income and cash management. We believe that you’ll find our team is adept at developing creative strategies, and can offer access to these services through Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

Creating an actionable wealth strategy, step by step

From our position within your circle of advisors, we help you develop an all-encompassing structure that addresses various aspects of your wealth, and details, point-by-point, your potential actions and milestones.

As we chart the structure of your wealth, we consider everything from household and domestic expenses to your income and liabilities, current investments, business or property ownership, retirement accounts and estate planning services.

We’ll look closely at your current and projected income needs. What about taxes? What about trusts? How would the family—and the portfolio—survive the loss of the primary earner? How can you enjoy your wealth today and leave a legacy for future generations?

To answer these questions with action, we guide you through:

  • Long-term wealth strategies: Creating practical, durable income-generation and management strategies to support you no matter how long you live. We also develop contingency plans to help your family’s assets withstand sudden and unexpected events.

  • Disciplined investment management: Establishing real-world investment parameters in accordance with your goals and tolerance of risk. Within these guidelines, we seek asset preservation, while keeping the potential for upside gains. We also may recommend separately managed accounts for funds invested outside the set parameters of your majority portfolio.

  • Efficient financial management: Offering sensible strategies to help manage you day-to-day spending—and, when possible, pinpoint areas where you may be able to save significant sums without altering your lifestyle. We can also help you outline the financial discipline you’ll need to pursue your vision of life over the next 5, 10 or even 20 or more years.

  • Forward-thinking wealth transfer strategies: Coordinating, at your request, with the work of your legal and estate planning specialists to help create smart wealth transfer strategies that may use insurance, trusts, gifting and family partnerships to pass on wealth the way you want.

We also meet with you regularly to review your portfolio and wealth management strategy, recommend needed adjustments and help you keep you financial life in step with your changing outlook or goals.

“Many times, emotions and conflicting agendas can cloud financial decision making. Part of our job involves using our skill and experience to offer clients what we believe are the most viable courses of action. We are committed to doing this clearly, honestly, from a position of trust and knowledge.”
