Richard Fitzsimmons is a Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor who joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 1984. Richard graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Richard is a Portfolio Manager who help clients pursue their objectives by managing on a discretionary basis his own Personalized or Defined Strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, Merrill model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. Richard is a former two term Councilman for the Boro of Manasquan and past Council President. He served on the Board of Trustees at Manasquan River Golf Club as the Membership Chairman. He lives in Brielle with his wife, Priscilla, and three children Chase, Jack, and Richard J Fitzsimmons. Richard enjoys practicing yoga and received his teaching certification in 2019.
 
Richard Junior attended his high school years at The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut. He graduated with honors from Wagner College in New York where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in business finance. At Wagner, Richard was inducted to Delta Mu Delta, a business honor society that recognizes and encourages academic excellence of students at universities around the country. Growing up at the Jersey Shore, he finds a deep admiration for the ocean along with golf, tennis, squash, and paddle. Richard is a scratch golfer and former NJCAA national tennis champion for both singles and doubles.
