     Katie joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in 2006 after a 20-year career in asset management and entrepreneurship. Her mission is to execute strategies for individuals, businesses, and families to preserve and grow their assets. She builds strong client relationships based on proven strategies, sound advice and hands on service.
     Part of helping clients clarify their financial vision is creating a goals based wealth management plan that will help them achieve their goals. As part of this process, Katie taps into the financial tools and resources of Merrill to help design the most appropriate strategies for clients. She gets to know the client, family, friends, children and siblings to get a complete picture of the financial circumstances.
      A competitive athlete, Katie has held a national ranking in tennis. She is Mom to two young adults and several pets. She is originally from Tennessee but enjoys traveling. She remains an avid tennis player and served on the Chattanooga Tennis Foundation Board of Directors. She graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and earned an MBA from the University of Tennessee. She also holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation, Accredited Domestic Partnership Advisor designation, the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation, and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor Designation.

As an experienced professional in the financial services industry, She takes pride in listening to clients carefully and creating strategies customized to their vision. She serves a select group that includes professionals, business owners, families in transition, trustees and beneficiaries, and retirees. Each client is different, and the relationships she builds are based on the respect she has for their individual financial circumstances.

Her investing philosophy is to position clients for both the short and long term. With reviews and frequent client contact, adjustments are made when changes demand it, to keep a portfolio aligned with evolving needs.
Knowing that clients rely so deeply on their savings to fund educations for their children, or to retire comfortably when the time comes, She puts in the time required to seek out opportunities that move clients closer to their goals.

She is prepared to spend time to help determine which financial services and capital strategies benefit clients the most. Many of her clients are in transition—retirees, career changes, divorcees, widows and inheritors. She strives to serve each one with attention, sensitivity and discretion. She uses her extensive experience to offer strategies for clients needing to grow assets or create a cash flow from existing assets. As many clients reach the stage where they want their adult children involved, she can coordinate the needs of these multigenerational relationships, providing continuity for families. She continues to build a business based on candid, caring communication, and personalized strategies.

She helps clients by keeping you invested during times of volatility, creating effective asset allocation models, helping to liquidate investments in retirement efficiently.

She gives advice about commercial and residential lending(NMLS 590295),employee benefits, credit and debt, insurance and estate planning services. If it has to do with money and how to make more of it, keep more of it or spend it down, that's what she strives to do for clients.
