After 25 years we have built a book of business that includes a variety of clients. From senior-level corporate executives with complex compensation packages, to business owners with most of their wealth tied up in their enterprises, attorneys, physicians, individuals with inherited wealth and family foundations.
The makeup of our team allows us to relate to clients both “young and older.” In fact, we serve a broad spectrum of people who are nearing retirement, a long-anticipated liquidity event, or are building wealth and a career. Delivering an exceptional level of diligence and devotion, we are intentional and caring in our efforts.
From the outset of each relationship, we help clients explore and prioritize the purpose of their wealth. We are here to help manage that wealth responsibly and in a respectful manner.
At Rovere-Mendez Wealth Management, we are inspired by the goals and concerns of our clients. Many seek financial freedom and a feeling of independence. Most are busy with careers and families.
As a team that managed clients’ money and emotion amid 2000, 2008 and 2020 volatility, we are proud that virtually all of those clients remain with us today. We believe that’s due in large part to our perspective on mitigating investment risk. Often, we introduce clients to the benefits of owning alternative investments, which do not correlated to the volatility of major markets.
It is our practice to focus on clients’ life goals, in addition to their bottom lines. Our clients have sent children to college, purchased homes, prospered in their careers, and worked tirelessly to achieve these milestones. By using our knowledge to advise clients on appropriate strategies, we can allow them to focus energy on their careers, families, and serving their communities.
At Rovere-Mendez Wealth Management, we have spent decades honing our investment process. Our approach is a good fit for clients who are as different as they are deserving.
Before we allocate a single dollar of a client’s portfolio, we examine how their assets, liabilities, and overall wealth are structured. Following discussions about risk vs. reward, we build a framework from which we can formulate their investment strategy, which we classify most often as “capital preservation plus growth.” We find this approach helps clients withstand downturns and stay true to their goals.
As long-term investors, we do not look to hit “home runs” with speculative opportunities. Based on our research and that of Merrill, a client’s portfolio may include individual equities, ETFs, mutual funds and bonds. We may also recommend alternative investments – with what may be a combination of real estate, hedge funds, private equity and private debt. Our strength in this area allows clients to benefit from non-correlated assets that we deem attractive, affordable and likely to offer reduced volatility.
Finally, we blend our investment management with tax awareness in a way many advisors do not. By maintaining a watchful eye on clients’ tax consequences throughout the year, we allow for benefits to be realized earlier. We also work closely with clients, their CPAs, attorneys, and our trust department to align wealth transfer, business succession, tax-minimization and estate planning strategies.
