Lisa Pauls is a First Vice President and Wealth Management Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Lisa provides tailored financial strategies for clients who have diverse wealth management needs. She enjoys helping clients chart a clear and cohesive path forward for their financial lives, mindful of their long-term goals, cash-flow needs, family commitments, and philanthropic interests. Dedicated to client education, she looks to provide people with the insight and perspective they need to make informed financial decisions. Lisa pairs her outreach with precise implementation. Analytical by nature, she recognizes that careful attention to detail is critical to effective wealth management.

Lisa began her Merrill Lynch Wealth Management career in 2008. Previously, she spent eighteen years working as an executive for non-profit organizations. She earned her B.S. in Special Education from Indiana State University. Her longstanding interest in education aligns with her passion for fostering financial literacy across age groups and life stages. Lisa is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. She also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC® designation.

Lisa’s faith, family, and friends form the foundation for her life. Active in her church, she participates in Bible Study Fellowship, a worldwide interdenominational Bible study group. Lisa is also an active member of the Brazosport Rotary Club and the Lake Jackson Development Corporation. In her free time, she enjoys music, singing, reading, and travel.

Lisa and her husband Jeff live in Lake Jackson, Texas. Married since college, they have two adult children, Kristen and Justin, both of whom are married with children. Lisa relishes her time with her growing family.

My process is designed to help deliver a customized, consistent experience to assist clients not only in wealth accumulation and preservation, but in areas that go beyond investments. Lisa works with individuals, families, and institutions to identify their financial concerns and devise integrated tactics to pursue their objectives. Her approach is extremely personalized and robust. As Lisa explains, “I believe in spending significant time with clients. I recognize that each person or institution has specific needs; I take the time to learn about these issues in detail, encompassing more than balance sheets or account totals to appreciate the people and organizations behind the wealth.”

Lisa works with a diverse clientele, including engineers and executives in the oil and chemical industries; physicians, dentists, attorneys, and other professionals; business owners; multi-generational families; and non-profit organizations. Some of the clients she serves have undergone significant transitions—the death of a spouse, a divorce, or retirement. She brings a sensitivity and deep-seated interest in their wellbeing that bolsters support at critical times. “I believe clients know they can rely on me; when difficult issues arise, I have their back,” Lisa says.

Investment management constitutes a key area of Lisa’s service. She assesses a client’s risk tolerance, time horizons, investment preferences, and life goals, selecting financial strategies that align with client parameters. And she recognizes that needs change. Through regular meetings and discussions—both formal and informal—she stays apprised of life events to maintain a nimble approach to the capital markets. “I look to select financial strategies that are a good fit for each client,” Lisa explains. “Investment management isn’t all that I do, but it is an important part of my outreach.”
